Second year of the conference “Our common present”, with subtitle “Changing society?” was held on 23rd March 2012 at Department of Cultural Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. Co-organisers were Department of Cultural and Religious Studies , Faculty of Education, University of Hradec Králové and Faculty of Economics, University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The conference was supported by 7th FP EU research project GILDED.
Conference focused on the relationship of contemporary environmental, cultural, social and economic problems. The main question was, which changes take place in the society and whether the science is able to reflect these changes.

Selected conference papers were published in English in monothematic issue of Journal of Landscape Ecology (5/2), the papers are online open access here.
